About ACCESS Fit

ACCESS Fit is a year-round fitness and wellness program designed for adults ages 14+ living with disabilities. ACCESS Fit aims to create community & eliminate barriers to health through accessible and inclusive fitness classes. ACCESS Fit currently serves over 190+ participants at the Miracle Field of Wilmington, and on-site to community members, group homes, day programs, and high schools. The program is held for 12-weeks during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons.

ACCESS Fit Community Group

In addition to our privately schedule group homes, schools, and day programs, we encourage any young adult 14 years old+ to join our Community Groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays at either 2:30-3:30PM or 4-5PM at the Miracle Field. Each 1-hour session includes a warm-up, cardiovascular, balance, strength, and flexibility training, and cool-down, all adapted for any ability level and physical/intellectual disability.

*If a Participant needs a higher level of support a 1:1 may be required. for additional questions or concerns contact taylor@accessilm.org.

ACCESS FIT - Stroke Warriors

Are you or your loved one on the path of Stroke recovery?

Join ACCESS Fit- Stroke Recovery on Tuesdays/Thursdays 12:30-1:30PM, VIRTUALLY! Each 1-hour session, adapted for anyone seated, standing, living with hemiplegia, and more includes warm-up, strength, cardiovascular, flexibility, balance training, and a cool-down. Our goal is to improve and maintain physical functioning and reduce the risk of secondary stroke conditions. This program is held VIRTUALLY online.
