About ACCESS Fit

ACCESS Fit is a year-round fitness and wellness program designed for adults ages 14+ living with disabilities. ACCESS Fit aims to create community & eliminate barriers to health through accessible fitness classes. ACCESS Fit currently serves over 190+ participants at the Miracle Field of Wilmington, and on-site to community members, group homes, day programs, and high schools. The program is held for 12-weeks during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons.

ACCESS Fit Community Group

In addition to our privately schedule group homes, schools, and day programs, we encourage any young adult 12 years old+ to join our Community Groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Each 1-hour session includes a warm-up, cardiovascular, balance, strength, and flexibility training, and cool-down, all adapted for any ability level and physical/intellectual disability.

*If a Participant needs a higher level of support a 1:1 may be required. for additional questions or concerns contact NATALIA@accessilm.org.

About Hydroworx

The Hydroworx 1:1 Recreation Therapy Program is designed to support individuals living with disabilities by providing access to an underwater treadmill in a safe, controlled environment. The Hydroworx system reduces weight-bearing stress on the body while offering adjustable resistance and support to promote movement, strength, and mobility. Participants may register for as many sessions as they choose, with availability offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dates and Times

Every Friday starting February 20th and goes until May 1st

  • 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M.

  • 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M.

About Access Neurofit

ACCESS NeuroFit is a 12-week virtual fitness program that is adapted to the various needs of individuals with a wide range of neurological impairments, including but not limited to: individuals who have experienced a stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Cerebral Palsy (CP). Each session includes a warm up, cardio, strength, balance, and a cool down. Our goal is to improve and maintain physical functioning and reduce the risk of secondary conditions.

Join ACCESS NeuroFit on Tuesdays/Thursdays 12:30PM-1:30PM, VIRTUALLY!  Each 1-hour session, adapted for anyone seated, standing, living with hemiplegia, and more. This program is held VIRTUALLY online.  

Registration Fee is $50.00 | Scholarship options are available at signup.
